(AECI), a power generation and transmission cooperative operating in three Midwestern states for the sustainable recycling of AECI Thomas' fly ash, bottom ash and boiler slag. Hill Energy Center. AECI is owned by and provided wholesale power to 6 regions and 51 local power cooperative systems in Missouri, southeastern Iowa, and northeastern Oklahoma, serving 935,000 members. By 2026, Charah Solutions will be responsible for the beneficiation and utilization of approximately 150,000 tons of specification grade C fly ash, non-specification grade C fly ash, bottom ash and boiler slag each year. The by-products will be distributed through Charah Solutions’ MultiSource® material network, a unique distribution system with nearly 40 nationwide locations, with international sourcing and distribution capabilities, available to cement and concrete producers and other customers who beneficially reuse products Continuous and reliable supply of supplementary cementitious materials (SCM). It is expected that most of the ashes will be transported by truck within 200 miles of the factory location, and the remaining products will be sold to encapsulated beneficial applications in the greater Kansas City and St. Louis metropolitan areas.
